WHO ARE WE?
Harris Strategic Land is a privately-owned company formed by Tony Harris and his team of industry specialists with extensive experience in promoting strategic land with the goal of obtaining planning permission for landowners. Having spent 20 years as the Managing Director of the Christchurch Group, Tony and his team have now formed Harris Strategic Land Ltd to solely focus on strategic land promotion and acquisition.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We work in partnership with landowners to get residential planning permission and then promote the land within the sector to sell on the open market, advising and supporting the landowner throughout the process ensuring their land realises the best commercial outcome for residential property development.
Why work with us?
There are significant costs related with bringing together the application process, including technical expertise with reports and precise methods required to obtain planning permission. We cover all planning and legal costs, so the process does not cost the landowner anything. All risk on each project is borne by Harris Strategic Land.
We carefully manage every aspect of the process, working closely with each individual landowner to ensure we tailor our approach in a way that is sympathetic and compassionate to the landowner’s expectations, whilst ensuring maximum commercial potential is realised.
We invite the landowner to be as involved in the process as they prefer, we flex to how you would like to work. Each project is tailored to the individual space and its specific sensitivities.
Unlike some of our competitors we take on a small number of projects each year to ensure the landowners receive the best possible service. One of the Directors will visit each site and personally oversee the entire project. With HSL you are not just a statistic, every site is as important as the next.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Tony and John each head up different geographical areas. John principally covers the Midlands whilst Tony covers specifically East Anglia and the South. We are always on hand to discuss requirements with clients at short notice and pride ourselves in the prompt and personal service that we can give. We are backed up by a fantastic office team headed up by Nisha Gaskin in our Suffolk Office to help with all day to day enquiries. Our consultant team has been built up over many years and we pride ourselves on only using the best.
Tony has spent the last 22 years working in the property development industry with the last 15 years promoting strategic land throughout the UK and delivering strong results for his landowner partners.
Tony has an expert team of planners working with him drawing on the best expertise in the business to deliver the best results for our clients. Tony spent much of his early career developing and refurbishing properties as well as building an extensive commercial portfolio. His knowledge of the overall market has been key in understanding and getting the best results out of the land projects he undertakes.
John has been involved in the property industry for over 30 years working for national and independent companies and has acquired an unrivalled knowledge of how the business works during this time. His experience and contacts together with his practical knowledge enable him to advise clients on variety of property and development solutions. John was also Chairman of the N.A.E.A. in 2001 and represented the association across the West Midlands and Warwickshire, and an active member of Round Table for over 20 years and was elected National President of Round Table Great Britain and Ireland in 2011.
